Family Fun Day and the Victoria Park Produce Show

Newbury Town Council's newest event. The Victoria Park Family Fun Day hopes to encourage the whole family to enjoy the beautiful park as well as having a jolly good afternoon's entertainment at very little cost. Also the Town Council is holding its brand new produce show in conjunction with the "Awards for All" section of the National Lottery. Victoria Park Fun Day The afternoon, which is to run in conjunction with a produce and handicraft show, hopes to provide good old fashioned entertainment. There will be many attractions on offer to cater for all age ranges, from bouncy castle and treasure hunt for the little ones, to cheerleading demonstrations and army assault courses for the slightly older members of the family, right through to an open day at Newbury Bowls Club, for those wishing to have a go at their first end. Also on offer will be Newbury Crafters' have a go at weaving, braiding and spinning and Delicious Dial a Cakes "ice your own cake" table. Basil's Barnyard Buddies will be bringing along sheep, goats, ducks and other farmyard animals for all to pet and Jugglers Etc will be keeping the crowds entertained with their stilt walking antics. Newbury Fire Brigade will be bringing along a fire engine to educate as to how important this establishment is as well as allowing you to actually climb inside! With Watership Brass providing the music in the bandstand and the smell of hog roast wafting through the air, what more could you ask for a Bank Holiday afternoon, without having to delve too deep into your pockets.
