Summer Circus Week 4 - 8th August
every year, Norden Farm welcomes back award-winning children’s circus company Albert and Friends for the twelfth year of Summer Circus Week. Children aged 7 - 13 will be given the chance to learn skills including stiltwalking, juggling, unicycling and ballwalking. Participants are also able to create lavish sets and costumes, required for their Friday afternoon performance Home Is Where The Art Is This group exhibition includes work from Terri Jones, Howard Birchmore, Hannah Lee and Jonathan Newey. Their work comprises a diverse range of representational and abstract images. All the artists regularly have their work selected for national exhibitions and have sold widely at home and abroad. With each piece of original fine art there is an accompanying photograph showing it hanging in a room. This illustrates how artwork can transform a room, bringing life and colour to a bare wall and injecting a focus for contemplation to a room. Summer Dance Week 11 - 15th August Summer Dance Week Join members of a professional dance company and experience the daily routine of a dancer’s life; morning class, choreographic sessions, rehearsals and then more rehearsals. All the work will lead towards the final performance at the end of the week. Experience in dance is not essential, as the week will provide something for all standards. Enthusiasm, energy and a willingness to work hard however will be required, as they are the vital ingredients for a successful, fun and rewarding week. “Take 30 young dancers, two very talented teachers and a mere five days of intensive practise and the result is wall-to-wall brilliance” Newbury Weekly News review Suitable for ages 9-18 |
