Stuck bottle nosed whale suffered bone disease
A whale which was stuck up the River Thames in January, which made headlines was suffering from a bone disease, not too dis-similiar to arthritis.

Unfortunately the northern bottle-nosed whale died because she couldn't get enough food after spending several days swimming around the River Thames in London.

The whale was in the news in January after taking a wrong turn up the river.

Rescuers tried to help her go back to sea, and eventually lifted her out of the water to try and help her, but they were too late.

Scientists at the Natural History Museum have been examining her body.

They say because she couldn't get enough squid to eat, her body wasn't able to take in any water, which eventually killed her.
