The Rambler's Association annual festival of Walking Week welcomes everyone between 16th and the 24th September 2006 to join in local and national activities.
Many walks will include child-friendly features such as riversides and wildlife parks. Games, treasure hunts and wildlife spotting will be part of the programme. There will be free activity sheets and other goodies. Walking is the cheapest and healthiest pastime there is – and it can be enjoyed by all the family. And there is no better time than during this week to encourage walking! This year the Ramblers Association will be inviting the supporters of CLIC Sargent, the UK's leading children cancer charity to come and join as part of their national annual event Yummy Mummy Week.
