Dust down your binoculars
For those you who enjoy squinting through a pair of binoculars and viewing the starry night, from now until October 21st you will be in for a fine meteor display.

Shooting stars or meteors are grains of dust which fall off comets. They burn up when entering the Earth's atmosphere, therefore making the streaks of light. These meteors shows are called Orionids.

They come off Halley's Comet, which passes the sun every 76 years. It will be another 55 years before Halley's Comet visits earth again, though every October the earth travels through a cloud of its meteors.

Because of the position of the moon and the Earth, you should be able to see them really clearly this year.

Send us your pictures, comments about this months meteor shower to the Editor at Businessinberkshire.
