GCSE Course Works

With the every increasing demands of coursework on students studying GCSE's, exam chiefs are now going to axe it within a number of subjects in the attempt to stop cheating.
Traditional coursework will be axed in business studies, classical subjects, economics, English literature, geography, history, modern foreign languages, religious studies and social sciences. Coursework will continue in art, music, design and technology, PE and home economics. Maths will lose its coursework element from 2007 while other changes will be introduced in September 2009. External exams and controlled assessments carried out in the classroom under strict supervision will replace the coursework.
